YOGA
The Vacation Seasonal Training Edit

What yoga on vacation asks for is unglamorous: packing into a small bag. What to buy, what to skip, and what to check in the mirror. Keep the base, change the weight, adjust the layer.
There is only one decision that matters for yoga on vacation, and it is the tank. Everything after that is adjustment. This guide covers fabric, fit and the three checks worth running before you commit.
Layering for packing into a small bag
Layer in the order you will remove things. A base that handles sweat, a mid layer you can shed, then one outer piece for the walk — because bag space is limited and you may not get a chance to wash anything.
Strap width is the whole game. Narrow straps slide once you reach overhead; wider ones stay put, and they also keep the neckline from shifting when you fold forward.
What goes in and what stays out in vacation
Leave out anything you would not wear twice. Bag space is limited and you may not get a chance to wash anything. The bag gets lighter and the decisions get faster.
None of this requires a large wardrobe. It requires one piece chosen for packing into a small bag, and a plan for the fact that bag space is limited and you may not get a chance to wash anything.
Wash, dry, repeat
Do not store anything damp. Most odour problems are storage problems: bag space is limited and you may not get a chance to wash anything.
Run the checks in the order you would actually notice a problem — movement first, then heat, then time. A piece that fails any of the three will fail in the session rather than in the mirror.
What to check before you buy in vacation
Two pieces can look identical on the hanger and behave differently in vacation. The checks below are the ones that catch it early. Candy Heart Pink Dreamlight Long Sleeve Top is the piece we would test them against first.
- Push the sleeve to the elbow and check it stays there in a forward fold.
- The cuff should sit at the wrist without covering the hand.
- Raise both arms: a narrow armhole pulls the hem up.
Sizing the rotation
Two or three tanks in rotation is enough for packing into a small bag. The point is not variety, it is giving each piece a full day to dry and recover.
Fit first, fabric second, colour last — in that order, every time.
None of this needs a large wardrobe. It needs the right tank, checked properly, and a habit of air drying.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- How do I know if the fit is right?
- Check it through a full range of motion and again seated: The straps need to stay on the shoulders when you reach overhead, and the hem should stay put without constant tugging.
- What fabric weight should I choose?
- Mid-weight for most of the year. Go lighter when packing into a small bag means heat, denser when you start cold. Get that one thing right and most of the other decisions stop mattering.
- When should I replace it?
- When the hem and the shoulder seam stops holding, or the fabric no longer returns to size. It is also the cheapest thing to fix — usually a size or a wash habit.
